Feature Spotlight: DSM for Windows

With the release of Package 156, Digital Storage Manager is now available cross platform. In addition, a new archiving helper has been added to give support to the Nero media burning software.

Q&A with Technical Support: Un-post an Invoice

How can I change an invoice after it has been posted?

In previous versions of Job Manager, once an invoice was Posted, it was locked from further editing. Beginning in Package 155, an 'Un-post' option is available in the Invoice Journal window which allows you to un-post any Posted invoice. Alternatively, if you would rather not un-post an invoice, a correction invoice can be created for any Complete Final invoice.

Smart Tip of the Month: Setting Additional Job Information on Assignment Tickets

In Advanced Workflow and Scheduling 4.0 it is possible through the data structure configuration to specify any additional information from the Job that should appear on the assignment tickets that make up a users to-do list. For example, suppose you want to display the customer name and an internal job code on each assignment ticket. By modifying the data structure configuration, it is easy to pass this information to both the Assignment and Assignments Complete tickets. See Knowledge Base article 16298 for an example of how to modify this configuration.

Additional Resources: Parallels and VMWare Fusion

Don't have any additional hardware to set up a test server? With the capability of running Windows on an Intel based Mac, you may consider setting up a test server with Parallels or VMWare Fusion. Both products give you the ability to install and run an instance of Windows while running your OS X operating system. If you are already a user of VMWare elsewhere in your organization, you can transfer virtual machines between platforms without any conversion.
