Feature Spotlight: SQL Server 2005 Support Preview
The upcoming release of Workgroups 2007 boasts a wealth of new features and functionality including support for Microsoft SQL Server 2005. A major component of MS SQL Server 2005 is the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) module which can provide the ability to create and schedule the running of various reports. Workgroups 2007 includes a direct integration with SSRS that allows the administrator to upload SSRS reports to the Workgroups 2007 system and specify which SSRS server should be used to generate those reports. SSRS reports that are run from Workgroups 2007 can be returned to the user in PDF, Excel or CSV format, giving the user flexibility in how they wish to receive their reports.

Q&A with Technical Support: Quick Search with Contains
How can a user differentiate between the `starts with' and `contains' conditions in the Quick Search area of the MetaCommunications Production Portal?
The Quick Search area of the MetaCommunications Production Portal searches for information using a `starts with' condition by default. When a user wants to employ the `contains' condition, an asterisk * can be inserted at the front of the search string to produce a list of all items containing the text portion of the search string. Using an asterisk alone will produce a list of all records of the selected type (Jobs, Customer, Estimates).
