Feature Spotlight
A Splash of Color
The custom query tools that exist in Job Manager and Virtual Ticket allow users to add color to the results window. Criteria can be established to determine what colors the query results will appear in. Display late jobs in red, jobs ready to archive in blue, active jobs in black or any other color scheme you wish.

Q&A with Technical Support
Can class information be included in invoices exported from Job Manager to QuickBooks?
Using a solution found in the MetaCommunications Solutions Catalog, Job Manager can be configured to include the class information on invoices exported to QuickBooks. This solution uses the Shipping option popup field for specifying the QuickBooks class which should be applied to the invoice. This option can be set when the job is entered or at the time of invoice. A list of classes can be entered into the Shipping tab of the Terms, Shipping and Credit Cards area of the Administration menu.

Smart Tip of the Month
AppleScript – Creating a Job Folder
Last month we demonstrated a method for creating folders in your file system from Virtual Ticket using a combination of MetaScript and SQL. This month we will explore the same process using MetaScript and AppleScript. MetaScript can be used to execute AppleScripts that can create folders in the file system. Unlike last month’s example where the folders are created by the SQL server computer, this solution creates directories on volumes that are mounted on the Macintosh desktop.
