Feature Spotlight
RealTimeProof Support
Coming soon, a plug-in will allow Virtual Ticket Web Server 1.5 users to proof the images they searched for using the RealTimeProof Proofing client. Use of the RealTimeProof plug-in can be setup for each Virtual Ticket Web Server user in the user setup by checking the RTI Plug-in checkbox for the desired user. Enabled users will have the ability to download and install the proofing client, plus a proof link is placed in the search results for each digital resource. By clicking the Proof link for a digital resource, the proofing client opens the file and proofing can begin.
Q&A with Technical Support
What is the proper way to setup Virtual Ticket/Job Manager client applications in a terminal services environment?
Window Terminal services can be used to provide Mac and Windows users a centralized server to access various applications, including Virtual Ticket and Job Manager. The installation of the Virtual Ticket and Job Manager client applications require that each Windows terminal server user desktop directory has a copy of Virtual Ticket and Job Manager with a unique name for the executable files. Suppose you have an employee named Bill Smith whose Windows Terminal Server user id is bsmith. One option would be to configure each application to include the bsmith user id in the application name to make it unique, for example, “Virtual Ticket bsmith.exe” or “Job Manager bsmith.exe”.

Smart Tip of the Month
Authenticate Using LDAP
If you have a Windows NT/2000/2003 domain controller, a new solution for the Virtual Ticket/Job Manager system provides the ability for users to utilize their domain user names and passwords to log into Virtual Ticket or Job Manager. This allows system administrators to utilize various Windows password group policies for password strength and expiration, additionally it provides organizations the ability to consolidate security information.

Accounting Support
Job Manager users have many options when it comes to choosing an accounting program to integrate with their Job Manager system. Job Manager integrates directly with QuickBooks Pro, MYOB AccountEdge, PeachTree Complete and a wide range of other accounting products. The integration with these accounting systems allows for direct transfer of customer and invoice information from Job Manager to the desired accounting system.
