Approval Manager 1.5

Collaborative Approval Management

Proofing Technologies

Approval Manager allows an organization to maintain its choice of digital proofing technologies by seamlessly integrating with leading digital proofing applications. Approval Manager is not in itself a proofing technology, it is a process workflow product that facilitates the proofing process, regardless of proof type or proofing technology used.

Approval Manager can be configured to support multiple proofing technologies simultaneously.

Adobe Acrobat Standard and Professional Integration

Adobe Acrobat excels in its ease of use and commercial acceptance. Acrobat is suitable for proofing low/medium resolution files not requiring a high degree of color accuracy.

Seamless integration supports transparent collection of annotations with no user intervention. All annotations are sorted by user name and uploaded to the Approval Manager database automatically. Subsequent viewers are able to see all annotations.

Adobe Reader may alternately be used for viewing and annotating proof files. Approval Manager supports file upload of annotations created from Adobe Reader.

Kodak RealTimeProof Partner Integration

Kodak RealTimeProof Partner is ideal for high-resolution and/or color accurate proofing. Its built in color management tools enable accurate and precise control over color. Streaming technology enables high-resolution images to be displayed at user defined resolutions without downloading the entire data file - resulting in quick display times.

Seamlessly integrated support for RealTimeProof Partner provide automated client application download, annotation tracking, review status assignment, and more all from within the Approval Manager application.

Native Proofers

Approval Manager allows the Administrator to specify native applications as proofers. At a minimum, proofing applications must be able to open a proof file type for viewing. In many cases these native applications support application specific annotations. A typical example of a native proofer is Microsoft Word. Approval Manager supports the distribution of the native Word documents. Optionally, using the Word applications with the Track Changes feature turned on enables reviewers to make their changes and annotations in the file. Users can then simply upload those changes back to Approval Manager as part of their review.
