Software Sales Engineer

MetaCommunications, software developer based in Iowa City, Iowa has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Sales Engineer. This position is responsible for providing technical sales support and engineering services to our inside sales teams and third party partners. Candidates will directly support the sales process by providing technical information, demonstration models, implementation advice, proposals, and consultation.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of our company’s and complementary technologies.
• Contribute as a member of our Account Management team.
• Perform software product demonstrations to prospects and partners using collaborative web based tools.
• Analyze customer workflow’s/business processes and provide implementation guidance regarding our software products.
• Write short proposals and provide initial project estimates.
• Build demonstration models using our software products.
• Provide consultative advice to other members of the Account Management team and partners

Requirements

• Programming experience in JavaScript, SQL, Visual Basic, or other computer language.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analytically solve problems.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into something clearly understandable by a non-technical audience.
