Software Project Manager

MetaCommunications, software developer based in Iowa City, Iowa has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Project Manager. This position will manage all aspects of customer implementation and development projects - including planning, specification development, customer interaction/expectation management, software development and QA, delivery, and billing. Candidates will work directly with customers, sales, senior management, engineering teams, and outside resources to implement projects centered around the deployment of our software products.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, track and monitor project plans.
• Write schedule, scope and proposal documents.
• Organize and maintain all project related documentation including status, budgets, etc.
• Coordinate and help prioritize project tasks within engineering team.
• Identify additional revenue opportunities.
• Gain necessary approvals for development outside original project scope.
• Track project time and materials, produce billings, and communicate regularly with client.
• Manage customer relationships.

Requirements

• Project management experience – preferably with $25K to $2M software implementations.
• Consultative sales experience is a plus.
• Verifiable experience in managing y lasting and referencable client relationships.
• Outstanding organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work successfully with varying personality types, including: Engineering and technical types, salespeople, executive management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining big picture goals and objectives.
• Previous management experience preferred.
