Senior Software Engineer

MetaCommunications, software developer based in Iowa City, Iowa has an immediate opening for a talented Senior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

Technical responsibilities will vary depending upon individual strengths and may include:

• Architecting, designing and implementing cross-platform client software applications in C++, using STL, Boost and a number of proprietary technologies and frameworks. Platforms include Windows and Mac OS X.
• Developing Win32 server applications in C++.
• Designing test strategies, designing and implementing unit/regression/functional test suites in Python and C++.
• Writing/enhancing internal automation tools using Python.
• Providing technical leadership in the area(s) of responsibility and expertise.
• Setting up the processes and the environment enabling continuous growth of the team's professionalism.

Requirements

Candidates should have a strong software engineering background, organization skills, and the desire to work in a results-driven environment.
